This house-keeping section of my website is only for paid students. You will have created your own login and password to access these pages. Please keep those safe. I am unable to reset any logins from my end.

You will have paid in either one sum or instalments. (Thank you). If you have paid in instalments, my website provider will automatically bill you when your second payment is due. Please ensure your card details are kept up to date, in order to retain access to these pages for the duration of your course.

The essays will stay online for a month after the end date.

There are eight essays in The Quiet Words. Essays will go live every Monday from 7am, British Summer Time. If you are not in my time zone, kindly wait until your equivalent of 7am and the essay will be waiting for you.

In Week 4, you will start writing and producing a piece of prose as part of the course. It can be non-fiction or fiction, whatever you prefer. You will have four weeks to complete the piece.

I offer a personal feedback review, whereby I will read up to 1200 words of your writing produced for The Quiet Words, and send you concise and constructive feedback over email. Please ensure that you have booked your personal feedback here (£60) in order to take advantage of this opportunity. If you request personal feedback, then please ensure that you send me your piece by email before or by the final day of the course, which is Monday, 3rd June 2024. Please send your piece as a Word document, with the subject: The Quiet Words: Writing project, to hello@humaqureshi.co.uk - but please only do this if you have booked in your personal feedback in advance.

If at any point you would like to navigate between essays that are already live and look back over it, you can use the Contents table below, where each essay is linked.

Sometimes people ask if they can please have an essay or two sent to them early because they are travelling or on holiday or want to read it on their flight. I’m so sorry I’m unable to fulfil these requests, due to the way in which the course is scheduled online to run through my website. If you are going on holiday or know in advance that you will be without internet access please wait until you have internet access again in order to catch up with the course in your own time.

If you have any questions related to The Quiet Words whilst the course is running, feel free to use the submit a question button in the course menu (in the top right hand side). I will collect any questions sent in and, if relevant, reply to everyone in the group at the end of each week with my thoughts, so that everyone can benefit.
